Pays for the spay or neuter on any pet being adopted from the Humane Society of Fremont County, allowing an opportunity for individuals who cannot afford the entire adoption fee a way to adopt a shelter pet!  Call or visit the shelter for details!

Jeri McGuire Fund: Low Cost Spaying & Neutering of Privately Owned Dogs

Jeri McGuire was a great friend of the animals and of all of us here at the shelter. She has used her own personal funds, and through a generous endowment, a Giving Fund, for the animals in this community, which will enable YOU to spay or neuter your dog at a GREATLY reduced price! 

She was never an employee of the Humane Society, but a kind and generous woman whose love and compassion for dogs will live on through her daughter, Elizabeth.  

Cards of thanks may be sent anytime to her family in care of the Humane Society. Her fund allows Fremont County residents to purchase a low cost spay or neuter voucher for their privately owned dogs.

One voucher per household. $45 per voucher. Proof of Fremont County residency required. Vouchers may be purchased at the Humane Society of Fremont County. Redeemable at Fremont Veterinary Hospital - 2418 Florence St. Canon City.

6 Vouchers per month will be available for purchase on Fridays and Saturdays of each month while they last!!   Call us!

One voucher per household. $30 per voucher when Mrs. Workman is here holding a voucher sale - BUT, when she is NOT, you may STILL purchase a voucher for $40.00. Proof of Fremont County residency required. Vouchers redeemable at Eskridge Veterinary Clinic, 2403 N 9th, Canon City.
